It's easy for a garden to get away from you. A few missed months — maybe due to illness, a house move, or just a busy life — and suddenly you're looking at waist-high grass, brambles everywhere, and borders buried under weeds.
The good news? No garden is beyond saving.
What's Involved in a Garden Clearance?
Every clearance is different, but the process generally follows the same steps:
- Assessment — we visit the site, discuss what you'd like to achieve, and give you an honest quote
- Vegetation removal — cutting back overgrowth, removing brambles, clearing weeds and unwanted plants
- Structural clearing — removing old fencing, broken pots, rubble or other debris
- Ground preparation — once cleared, we can level, rotavate or prepare the ground for its next use
- Waste removal — all green waste is taken away and disposed of responsibly
Before and After
Some of our most satisfying work comes from clearance projects. There's nothing quite like seeing a garden go from completely overgrown to a clean, usable space in a day or two. We've tackled gardens across Torbay that haven't been touched in years — buried sheds, hidden paths, entire lawns lost under brambles.
The transformation is always dramatic, and most clients are amazed at how much space they actually have once everything is cleared.
What Happens to the Waste?
We're a fully licensed waste carrier and take our environmental responsibilities seriously. All green waste from our clearance work is taken to Wildwoods Contractors, a fully licensed green waste recycling facility here in Devon. Nothing goes to landfill — it's all composted and returned to local farmland.
You can read more about our approach to waste in our dedicated sustainability blog post.
