To mow as many gardens as possible in a single day, we'll be working quickly and efficiently. As much as we'd love to stay for a cuppa at every stop, our goal is to hit as many lawns as we can! We ask that you have your donation ready so we can keep moving. You can donate online in advance via Michael's page, or have cash ready on the day. Every second saved is another garden mowed.
If you donate online beforehand, please include "AJS Gardening" in your donation message so we can match it to your signup.
Please note: We'll do our absolute best, but we cannot guarantee we'll make it to every garden on the day. Donating in advance does not guarantee a mow - all donations go directly to charity and are non-refundable. We appreciate your understanding and generosity regardless!
Tell your neighbours, share it on your street WhatsApp, knock on a few doors. The more people who sign up in clusters, the more efficient our route becomes and the more likely we'll make it to your area. If half your street signs up, you're practically guaranteed a visit. One house on its own on the outskirts of Marldon? Much harder to reach. Strength in numbers!
We can handle normal winter growth no problem, but please bear in mind we need to keep moving. If your lawn is seriously overgrown (knee-height grass, brambles, hidden objects), we won't be able to tackle it on the day. This is a quick mow event, not a clearance job! If your garden does need a proper clearance, get in touch and we can quote for that separately.
Our friend Michael Eccleshall is running the 2026 TCS London Marathon in aid of Shooting Star Children's Hospice - a charity providing care and support for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families. We wanted to support him in the most AJS Gardening way possible - by doing what we do best.
It's also nearly our 2nd year in business, so this felt like the perfect way to give back to the community that's supported us.
